My Healing Journey continues...

Despite my worsening back problems, I continue to live my life as best I can. Last weekend I went to an big MBS fayre at Kempton Park race course, which was quite an experience. Interestingly enough, and a slight aside, I was booked to go to Bournemouth for a few days later in the week, as I had tickets for a concert which was postponed until later in the year. Disappointing, but we decided we'd still go to Bournemouth as the hotel was booked and paid for and we both needed a break.

During our visit to this fayre, I noticed a woman offering 'Inner Child' healing, using sound energy; I felt very drawn to her. Several times I went to try and speak with her, but she was always busy giving trial sessions to others. Eventually, we did manage to get some time with her, just before we were due to leave. Oh my goodness, we were so meant to see her! She explained how she worked, asked me what it was I needed healing with. I explained about my back problems, and although there is a physical problem going on, I also know that I carry ancient emotional wounds in my back, which contribute to the pain I experience. The soul and the mind speak through the body, and I am a firm believer in this. I felt very strongly that to have a session with her would help me to release and heal the latest 'layer' and asked where she was based. Bournemouth! She was also offering a vastly reduced cost for the first session if booked before the end of the fayre. Guess what? Yes I booked and so did Sue!

We traveled to Bournemouth Wednesday, our respective sessions were booked for Thursday morning. I went with a completely open mind, but at the same time was excited, as if my soul knew that this session was to be an important part of my healing journey. I will add at this point, I had been awake for much of the Wednesday night in lots of pain and had taken very strong pain killers. Early morning, the pain was still bad and I used a TENS machine for two hours, to no avail..

She asked me to assess my pain on a scale of 1 - 10, mine right then was 7/10 - pretty high. The session was 1.5 hours long, she intoned my name, in fact all the variations of the names I had been called throughout my life, and I experienced several aspects of my inner child at differing ages, joining with me. She went on to use sound to work on the pain - incredible! Far too long to tell you everything here, but by the end of the session, the pain was down to somewhere between 2 and 3. By the time I went to bed that night, the pain was completely gone, and I hadn't taken any painkillers that day. To summarise, it was a very profound experience, I released much of what I'd been carrying emotionally, felt much lighter and filled with joy and excitement!

Sue also had a very profound experience, we shared our stories over lunch. of course I am not at liberty to share Sue's experiences here, needless to say we plan to book a further session next time we're in Bournemouth, which will be in the autumn. We were both clearly meant to go and have those sessions with her, the universe brought the synchronicity and we chose to respond to it; for it is always a choice. We've both made huge progress as a result; many connections and understandings have been reached, decision made and we both acknowledge the enormity of the healing that took place.

That afternoon, I felt like an excited 6 year old so decided to allow those feelings to guide me through the rest of the day! How we laughed, what fun we had and on an impulse, I went had had a tattoo of angel! I will upload the picture later, but I am very pleased with it. It is simple and is in Archangel Michael blue, who is one of my guardian angels. Now I truly have an angel on my shoulder! Tell me what you think of it.

Signs from the Angels

Many, many years ago, long before Angels became 'fashionable' and I was going through a very tough time; I would call on Archangel Michael and ask him to stand behind me, wrap his wings around me. I did this whenever I felt afraid or unsafe and it felt as if he was holding me in a comforting embrace. I always felt much better for it.

But I never told anyone for fear of what they'd think!

I had been doing this for a couple of years, then one day I went for a palm reading. The reader (my mum!) said: 'I have never seen anything like this before - you have a huge angel standing behind you with his wings wrapped around you!' I then shared with her my story and she was amazed. Life continued and I kept calling on Archangel Michael whenever I felt the need.

So many times I have found signs from the Angels, sometimes they have appeared spontaneously, other times in response to my asking for a sign. I usually find angel feathers (and I have quite a collection) but sometimes single coins or small collections of coins in the most unexpected places. I always pick the up and keep them in a pot on my kitchen windowsill.

The angels always let me know they are near me, and they do help when I ask. The help or the answer isn't always in form I have asked for, sometimes that is because the angels know there is a better solution in hand. So I trust them to bring me what I need.

I often ask for help with a parking space when I am in a hurry, and they always oblige. I make sure that I am 'tuned' into them when I ask, and they guide towards the space I need. I recall taking my eldest grand daughter to Grandparent and Toddler Group when she was tiny - we often talk about the Angels together and she draws pictures of them. So often when we returned to the car for me to take her home, we'd find a fluffy, white feather and she'd pick it up, really excited!

I have many angelic ornaments in my flat - in the bedroom, living room and dining rooms. My grand daughter likes to gather them up and play games with them Often the games involve Angels healing her dolls or people she loves. It amazes me the games that she plays so carefully with my treasured ornaments; it's almost as if she has come into this life with memories of her life before birth.

Each night, she and her younger brother shout 'goodnight' to the angels before they go to bed and they ask for angelic protection to all the people that they love and care about.

Little did I realise or think all those year ago, that I would spend my time helping others with the healing energies of the angels - either through hands on healing; or like now through giving Angel Card readings. They clearly made themselves known to me all those years ago in preparation for my current life.

Interesting Times.....

I have been told by other psychics and mediums that my work will be changing again, but as yet I do not know how or when. I have to trust and wait patiently.

Yesterday I worked at a Psychic Fayre in Cirencester, the first time I have worked in this town, the second time I have worked for this particular organiser. The good news is, they feel I fit in really well and keep inviting me to work at more fayres for them! It was a very interesting day.

Next to me was a Shaman who was offering Feather healings. Although I know of many, many different healing modalities, I have not heard of feather healings before and spent some time chatting with this very gentle lady to find out more. It was fascinating so I decided to give it a try. She gently asked me if I wanted a feather healing or a feather blessing - so I replied that I would trust her to use her intuition as to what I needed. She consulted with her spirit council and they told a feather blessing.

She had a beautiful selection of feathers that she works with and explained to me what each one meant. I found my self drawn to a swan feather - it was large, pure white and I couldn't take my eyes off it! She used her pendulum to see which one she needed to use with me, and low and behold - it was the swan feather! To cut a long story short, she joined her energies with her spirit council after blessing me with the feather, and they had a message for me.

She said that I am working with very high and light energies (well I do work with Angels!) but spirits plan is to take me even higher. I have no idea what this means but will await with great interest, continue to go with the flow and see where I am guided to go. I am hoping that she will come and work at the next Witney psychic fayre, so that more of you can meet her. She is such a gentle soul and she also works with fairies and is very connected to nature.

The fayre itself was quiet during the morning, I did two short readings for men who had not had readings before, but felt drawn to me. It was an honor and blessing to work with them. The fayre got much busier during the afternoon, and was asked to do a long reading for a lovely lady with the most amazing hair! She was accompanied by her sister and daughter-in-law to be who sat with her during the reading. She had such a lovely energy it was easy to connect with her and what I saw for her was confirmed by herself and her sister. I then read for her daughter-in-law to be, again an easy and lovely lady to read for. The sister was so impressed that she decided to have a reading with me as well; I am so glad that she didn't tell me until later that she also reads the Angel cards herself for that makes me a little nervous! A trio of lovely ladies who went away very happy with their respective readings, clutching a pile of notes they'd taken.

My mother can never understand why I am not nervous when working at such public events, but as i say to her, it is not me, it is my spirit guides and angels that are doing the work; I am merely the channel. I spend a few moments before the fayres begin, connecting to them and asking them work with me and through me for the highest and greatest good, and I trust.

The Transitions Continue.....

According to numerology, I am in my year 4, a year of building, changing, growing and eventually emerging from my hibernation. Sounds and feels like I shall be like a caterpillar emerging from the chrysalis as a stunning butterfly, or a beautiful Pheonix rising from the ashes of the past.

So I continue to lay the foundations, rest when I feel I need to and work when it feels right for me. I am going with the flow. I am in a period of needing to nurture myself, which I am doing with great gentleness; so this period is about renewing my energies and getting ready for the next phase of my earthly and spiritual life.

It never cease to amaze me how many fellow lightworkers are suffering from chronic back problems (myself included) and are experiencing extreme fatigue. It's as though we are all needing to rest and build our energies in readiness for the tasks ahead. As yet, we don't know what these tasks are, but as many of us as possible are living our lives going with the flow and responding well to the needs of our bodies. Not an easy task in today's society where we are all expected to be available 24/7, which completely goes against the natural flow and rhythms of life and the Universe.

Many of us are in transition, going through great initiations, being prepared. But for what? The human part of me is nosey and wants to know! The Spiritual part of me is happy to wait, trust have faith and totally go with the flow. Not always easy when life presents us with challenges that need to be addressed, or lessons that need to be learned; but we are always taken care of, we are never alone.

I call on my Angels often, asking them to keep guiding me in the right direction, showing me what I need to be doing - and sometimes that involves 'being' rather than 'doing'!

I sense exciting and busy times are ahead both in human terms and spiritual terms, big changes coming in, lots of growth. The spring bulbs rest beneath the earth most of the year, gathering energy ready for when they emerge in the spring. We must allow ourselves that 'downtime' as well.

What do you do to nurture and re-energise yourself? How often do you do it? I would love you to share with us all.

Many B

Transitions

21/5/2013

Yet again I am in transition, having had a period of rest I'm off again. Many areas of my life are in flux and change, and this year is destined to be rather special, by all accounts. I wonder where in life I will be this time next year?

Once again, with many areas of my life changing, I have to accept and go with the flow, I have learned from experience that there is no other way. I know that I am not alone, I have called on the Angels for help, I have handed the issues over to them, and I will trust. I have also asked for some human help and support - but them some people are human Angels!

I moved into this flat some 18 months ago, knowing that I wouldn't be here for ever, but only have 6 months left. It will soon be time for me to move on again. The reason? Because this residence has served its purpose. I was told before I moved in, that the place would need my healing energies, and that I was also to be here and live alone to focus on my own healing journey. Well if it's time for me to move on, then I guess the job is done or will be by the time I leave.

My mother has been diagnosed with dementia, I have now changed from being daughter to 'parent', which is not an easy transition for either of us. I am aware that I am grieving for the person that she was. Her personality has changed, physically and mentally she is frail, her short term memory is fading and she is having to accept help and support. This is hard for her, as she's always been  very independent person and so often she looks confused and bewildered; and this is hurts me to see. She is frightened which is natural, but I have pledged to do everything in my power to ensure she remains safe and secure.

My long term relationship ended recently, we agreed to part, it was a mutual decision but has left us both very sad. It was a soul mate relationship, but not all soul mate relationships are destined to last for ever. They can be about unfinished business from a past life, they are always about personal and spiritual development for both parties. The relationship is complete, it has served its purpose and we have both grown and learned as a result; I know I have learned much from it. So I send him my love and blessings and wish him well on his journey in life. He will always have a special place in my heart and i thank him for the wonderful times that we shared; and there were many.

Transitions, often painful but always serving a purpose - moving from one place to the next, to the future. Don't spend your time looking back with anger or sorrow, look back and retrieve the good memories, learn the lessons, look for what was good; the blessings. Transitions are necessary and can lead us towards something new and exciting, lead us towards the next stage of our journey. Go forward in trust, faith and humility - for we are never alone!

Embrace your transitions, for you never know where they will lead you.

Many blessings x

'Feel Like a Goddess'

What a beautiful day it's been today, clear blue sky, sun shining, birds singing and very warm. I enjoyed a fabulous lunch in a friend's garden today, while we took a break from working on our new venture 'Feel like a Goddess' ladies pamper parties. We all have very hectic lives and it's so important to take good care of ourselves, nurture ourselves, which is why we have developed this new and exciting pampering experience for women.

As women, we are working, bringing up children, acting a the family taxi service, being a good partner and everything else. But just how much time do we take to give back to ourselves? It's a big issue for us all as we can't run on flat batteries, and unless we regularly top up and recharge those batteries, we'll end up ill.

I know only too well how important it is and how easy it is to leave my own needs on the back burner. But I also know that if I do I won't be able to do everything. Apart from a rigorous back care regime and working, I also provide care for my elderly mother who has dementia. This can be very stressful and emotional. Then there's my 4 lovely grandchildren who love to come and have time with me, and all the usual domestic stuff associated with just living. By taking care of myself and having regular massages, I am able to relax and sleep well, I top up those batteries and keep going!

So, with my good friends Sue Baldwin and Stephanie Ouzman, we are now offering evenings of nurturing and pampering where you can enjoy 30 minutes of 3 different sessions. We're aiming to bring that level of relaxation, pampering and nurturing to your own homes, where you invite your friends over and we do the rest.

Although Stephanie, Sue and myself worked hard today, planning the  1st launch event in Witney, designing and developing the flyers, it was a very enjoyable day. All three of us have faced our own challenges and stresses, but all 3 of us also factor into our lives, nurturing and pampering and it does benefit our health. We've learnt the hard way, you don't have to.

We all enjoy what we do so much, that it is a joy to work with you all and help you to relax and unwind and Feel like a Goddess. You deserve it! Check the events page for more information.

What Fun and stinky cheese!

I spent this afternoon out with my yoga teacher friend Sue, driving around West Oxfordshire whilst we were busy marketing ourselves and our services. Would you ever think that marketing and advertising could be such fun? But it was, great fun!

We went direct to Chipping Norton, a small Cotswold market town where we have successfully advertised before, and we know exactly where to go! First, we found a small cafe that we hadn't seen before and went in for a coffee - especially a we'd seen posters in their side window. Low and behold, inside as we ordered our refreshments, we noticed a cork board where others had pinned small flyers and an assortment of business cards. As we waited for our coffees to be made, we chatted to the young women behind the counter who readily agreed that we could add our information there free of charge. How kind!

We sat down and when our drinks were brought over, we engaged them in conversation and jollity, for both of us were in a joyful mood. They were very interested in my readings, we spoke to them about the importance of social media in contemporary advertising and encouraged them to set up a Face Book page and Twitter account for their business. We even explained how to set it up and how to use it! We thoroughly enjoyed the coffees, honestly the best decaff I have ever tasted and they even served it with soya milk for me! So, if you enjoy your coffee with a dairy free milk option, head for Grind & Dine where you will be catered for and looked after really well.

We left and crossed the road to pin some of Sue's flyers on a notice board, and on turning round, there was the cafe owner taking photo's of her cafe - hopefully ready for her Face Book business page! We'd not only had a lovely chat with them, enjoyed some fun, but had also inspired them; and to me that is what life is all about. Inspiring others, empowering others and showing them the way, by sharing our experiences.

Then we went via a nice old fashioned newsagents, to Oats the health food store where we also left business cards and flyers. it may be only a small shop, but it is chock full of a marvelous range of health foods. I avoid wheat as much as I can, and bought 4 packs of non wheat crispbreads - spelt, multi grain, oat cakes and some made from chestnut flour. These will keep me going for ages. I was really surprised that no other readers were advertising there, so my new business cards are nice and prominent.

We carried on, calling into small shops and putting up our adverts where we could, and called into the most wonderful little deli we had found on a previous visit to the town. I just had to go in and buy some cheese - they have the most wonderful range of unusual, regional cheeses that you can't buy in the supermarkets, including some lovely locally made ones.  Did I buy a local cheese? Nope, I am a fan of blue and soft cheese, so I bought a rather nice traditional gorgonzola (after tasting it first!) along with 3 others. Oh boy, the aroma when I open the fridge is powerful! but i don't mind, it's delicious and along with having lots of laughs and fun today as we worked, we also supported small, independent local specialist shops and everyone was so obliging.

Now I am looking forward to our next marketing session and I hope it's as much fun as we've had today. Enjoy your work, do something to earn your living that makes your heart and soul sing with joy. If everyone could work like that, the world would be a much happier place.
Blessed be.

And yes...... I do see Angels.....

22/4/2013

Yesterday, I was working at Cricklade Psychic Fayre, a fayre I've not worked at before. It was a nice day, the fayre was smaller than I am used to working at but it was a very nice experience.

I had barely finished setting up my table when the first client sat down and asked for a reading. She was swiftly followed by another lady. It was a good start to the day.

I mentioned in an earlier blog, that clients are drawn to me, and they very often are going through experiences similar to those I have already been through; so that I can connect with them more easily and say with conviction, 'I do know what you are going through.... and this is how I survived it....'

It was so very true yesterday, several women who are at a crossroads in all areas of their life at once, all desperately trying to hold on and not go with the changes. And the inner changes are just as important (if not more so) than the outer changes that they are facing.

Some of them (despite being very spiritual women, well connected with Angels and spirit) felt that they were very alone, abandoned and couldn't feel a connection at all. Couldn't feel the loving and supportive presence of the Angel and spirit. Yet round them, I could clearly see a number of Angels very close, comforting hands on their shoulders. I could hear the encouraging words of the angelic presences which of course, I passed on. I was able to reassure them, that despite not feeling the presences, the Angels and spirit guides were still there, trying to help but getting a little frustrated as the women were not in a space where they could hear the messages and guidance for themselves. But it will return, for all of them.

I could also see with clarity what they needed to do to be able to help themselves at this stage of their collective journeys. It mainly included 'letting go', going with the flow, trusting, having faith and patience that all would be resolved in Divine Timing. And I have been there.......

I could see for each of the women, that if they followed the guidance and learned the lessons they were facing as channeled through me, they would come through okay; that it would all work out for them. I also explained that I too had been through this process only two years ago, and that letting go, surrendering to the process and going with the flow had been the best decision I had made. That as a result, everything did work out fine and life has taken an interesting yet satisfying direction since.

And it will all change again for me, I have no idea where I will be or what I will be doing this time next year. I suspect that I will still be offering readings and guidance, I hope that I will have completed my first book and that it will be well on the way to being published. This is the way that spirit and the Angels want me to work in this lifetime, and I am happy doing so. Everything does work out in the end, if we learn the lessons, and we grow as a result.

And the really nice thing is, that the fayre organisers and other readers felt that I fitted in really well, and I have been invited to work at some of the other fayres. I will be able to be of service to even more people in a wider area and that's what it is all about.
Blessed be x

Wounded Inner Child

17/4/2013

I took a very interesting call for a reading several days ago, from a lovely sounding woman who was having trouble with her love life. She kept finding herself attracted to men who were 'just not available' in one way or another, if you know what I mean. She found herself attracted to two men in particular, with a possible third she was interested in; and really hadn't had too much luck with love since her divorce.

I tuned in, read the cards for her and just couldn't see, in all honestly, that any of them would be good for her. I can't or won't tell people what they want to hear, my guides and angels show me what the client need to know and I have to be honest, and tell them what the angels want them to know. I couldn't work any other way.

She became quite tearful and asked me why it was she found herself drawn to a certain type of man - the unavailable type - whether that was because they were already in relationships, or because they were not into commitment. I consulted the spread of cards and asked my guides for help. What I saw was a childhood emotional wound that needed to be healed, plus I saw a man with his back turned to me - and this man had dark hair and very broad shoulders.

I described what I saw to her,  "That's my dad" she exclaimed, and went on to tell me that he walked out on her and her mother when she was only 7 years old. She hadn't seen nor heard from him since. By now she was really sobbing and told me that she was fed up with this coming up in readings as she had already forgiven him.

I tried to explain to her that it keeps coming up in readings because it's not completely healed yet. The adult part of her has forgiven him, but the 7 year old child is still wounded, and that's the part of her that needs to be worked with and needs to do the forgiving.

Until this aspect of her inner child has been truly healed, she will find herself drawn towards men who are not available to her in mind, body or soul; because the Universe has a way of 'prodding' us until we deal with it. It will keep happening, not because the Universe or the angels want to be cruel, but because she is being given the opportunity to have this issue right at the surface for release and healing. In a way, this is a gift, because once it has been truly healed and released she will be free, and she will attract to her the sort of man she needs and deserves. One who will treat her like the Goddess that she is.

When we feel alone....

15/4/2013

A client messaged me yesterday and said "Your blog made me realize that on our journeys over the last few years none of us have been really alone. In the connected world of spirit we have been helping each other even those we personally don't know. As I create an energy change however small the others on this path are also helped forward."

Such lovely words from such a lovely lady that has been through much in recent years. And yes, we are never alone, even if we feel very alone, we never are. There have been times in my life, despite my strong connection with spirit and the Angels, despite my strong spirituality, that even I have felt alone. Totally alone, unable to feel them round me, unable to hear their words of encouragement.

It is then that I recall that lovely poem called 'Footprints in the sand', which I will reproduce here:

Footprints in the sand
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

written by Carolyn Joyce Carty

And we are carried during those times, whether or not we feel it or see it. When I reflect back on those times, there was always someone there for me, reminding me that spirit and the Angels were with me, and I do believe my friends were acting on behalf of the angels to support me through and keep me going. We all go through tough times, and that's just when we don't need to hear  'what doesn't break you makes you stronger'. Yeah? Well it doesn't feel like that at the time, I can assure you!

I have been told by spirit that I chose this life partly so I could teach others how to survive similar experiences by my example. It feels like a huge responsibility, but it's one I take on because at least it means that someone else doesn't need to suffer quite as much as I did; it helps me to make sense of what I've been through and be accepting of calling of my spiritual path. And no, I'm not angry or bitter, I am still here, I still keep learning the lessons my soul needs and help others along the way.

And of course, offering Angel card readings is another way that I can help and guide people. It is not a career path I would have consciously chosen; indeed I never imagined this is what I would be doing. But spirit and the Angels clearly have a plan for me, and I have been gently pushed in this direction; so I take it willingly and with love.

I have been blessed to help many people with my readings, it amazes me sometimes just what I see and it never ceases to amaze me how the clients that are drawn to me are going through similar experiences to ones I have gone through not long before. I am able to say with complete honesty and conviction "I do know how you feel"; and my wonderful spirit guide shows me what that client needs to do for their highest and greatest good, to enable them to move the situation forward. My guide shows them how to heal.
Blessed be.
